BREEDING DETAILS

This horse has a very interesting pedigree - well mixed to provide the power and bravery needed for a World class show jumper. He is by the great dressage stallion Disconto who is part of some of the greatest Westfalian bloodlines. His grandfather Diamantino is a top class dressage performer who has been noted as one of the best dressage stallions of his time.His grandmother was graded as an Elite class broodmare. Many of his relatives are now competing at Grand Prix level dressage and jumping.

His mother is actually of trotter descent with Hannoverian influences. This gives this horse his big movement and makes him an extremely brave and intelligent little horse.

EXPERIENCE

Douwe was imported in March 2003

In Holland he had started his career at practice shows in the 1m divisions.

He has started his career at the same level in the UK and is showing a huge extravagent jump, enormous power and bravery. He is schooling at home with ease over 1.15m courses and has the attitude and maturity to progress very quickly.

He is a very easy ride who learns very quickly. Nothing at all fazes him, he is very mature and takes everything in his stride.

He has very good movement, is well balanced and very athletic.

This horse has the attitude, athleticism, bravery and talent to go all the way to the top in either show jumping or eventing.

Douwe is a wonderful horse who absolutely loves attention. He is a real character who is always trying to attract people to him and is extremely kind.

He is very easy to deal with in every way and takes every new experience in his stride - he is a really trusting horse.
