BREEDING DETAILS

Wilkinson has classic showjumping breeding featuring some of the most influential families of today.

By the stallion Pythagoras who was the only approved son of the thoroughbred Julio Mariner. Pythagoras' dam Kyraleen was herself European Champion. She in turn is by the great Quidam de Revel who topped the World Breeding Championships in 2004 and also held the accolade of having the most children competing at the WEG in Jerez. He himself competed at the Olympic Games numerous times and finished 4th individually in Barcelona.

Julio Mariner has become very influential in the breeding of showjumpers and although a classically bred racehorse he found his niche in the breeding of world class jumpers. His children all show great technique, reflexes, alertness, and jumping manners. His most famous children include Eurocommerce Lima and Lester to name a few who have appeared on the world stage.

His mother is by Pilot who was the first and youngest stallion to have progeny winning over 1 million German Marks. His children include Bugatti Pedro who won gold at the Seoul Olympics. Also featuring on the dam side is Voltaire who jumped Internationally under Jos Lansink and Emile Hendrix and is one of the most influential show jumping sires of the present day.

Wilkinson has an Oldenburg passport is branded and is microchipped.

EXPERIENCE

Wilkinson arrived in October 2007.

Wilkinson had done one practice show in Holland and is showing a fabulous character for learning. He is well balanced with a lovely light mouth and a fabulous jumping technique being very neat in front and with plenty of scope.

His flatwork improves daily and he is proving to be unfazed by anything. Laid back in his nature, he takes everything in his stride. He is light in the hand but responds well to the leg and is already well balanced in his paces.

He has a very mature attitude and is ready now to be produced on and continue his jumping career.

Wilkinson has the breeding and attitude to make a top level jumper.

 

 

ABOUT ME!

Wilkinson is a really lovely horse in the stable.

He has a very laid back nature and takes everything in his stride being totally unfazed by his first set of shoes and his first clip!

He is a delight to handle and does everything asked of him in a calm and relaxed manner.
